Staffing changes

At the end of this term we will be saying a sad good-bye to Mrs Bakare and Mr Kelly

Mrs Bakare has worked at Wingfield for 22 years!  She has been a wonderful member of our school community and there are so many children who have loved having her in their classroom.  She has always been a fantastic support to the teachers she has worked with, supporting them in all that they do, Mr. Arding in particular remembers how fantastic and welcoming she was when he first arrived at Wingfield.  But she has contributed more than this to the life of the school – using her haberdashery skills to help out with costumes and scenery for school productions, teaching children to knit and sew in her lunch time club,  and, a highlight of the year for staff,  was the day when she would bring a feast of delicious Turkish food for us to share at lunchtime.  We wish her a very happy retirement filled with walking, travel and finally getting to read the stack of books she has put to one side!

We also say goodbye and thank you to Mr. Kelly who will be leaving Wingfield this Christmas. Mr. Kelly has been at the school for three years and has taught across a range of year groups, including  in year 6, year 4 and Nursery. We wish him all the best as he moves to a new primary school. Mr. Arding will be taking over as the new Nursery teacher from January.
