World Book Day

Our World Book Day Celebrations were a roaring success this year!

The children all dressed up as their favourite characters, making the school a splash of beautiful colours. To celebrate the day, Miss. Bradley arranged assemblies related to the different phases across the school. In the assembly, the children discussed the importance of reading and how it supports all parts of our education. In addition to that, the teachers were given the opportunity to act out a range of scenes from some of the books that their year groups had been reading. It was great to see the teachers coming out of character and bringing these novels to life. The children were also given the opportunity, amongst a range of World Book Day activities, to create a range of illustrations related to Rob Biddulph's art. A range of winners were chosen! We would like to say thank you and well done to all the children and teachers for participating so enthusiastically throughout the day. In addition, a massive thank you to Miss. Bradley for coordinating a memorable World Book Day event.

"I loved how committed the teachers were when they acted out a scene from a chosen book. The children loved their passion!" - Miss. Bradley
