The story is set in a dystopian world where a lone robotic figure trudges through the floodwaters of an abandoned zoo, tending to the last surviving animals, who are isolated on shrinking island sanctuaries. There are no signs of human life, only the crumbling remains of a once-thriving civilisation. The robot nurtures the animals, providing for them and eventually building an ark to carry them to safety as the waters continue to rise.

Across the school, the children have been producing a variety of work inspired by the story, including poetry, personal recounts, and vivid setting descriptions. These will soon be displayed throughout the school as part of the project’s showcase.
